Vista Lodge Ski Week

We are going back to Golden Alpine Holidays! After 2 exceptional weeks at Sunrise in 2022, we are excited to go and check out Vista Lodge in 2025. Located in the Esplanades, a subrange of the iconic Selkirk Mountains, Vista Lodge is located at treeline alongside a small alpine lake. Terrain here is epic, with 5 separate drainages to ski, from bowls to tree lines. With views to the Rockies and Purcells, this is one of the closest ski touring lodges to Rogers Pass but has none of the crowds.

Get ready to get off the grid, and enjoy a week of ski touring and solitude in one of the finest ski touring destinations in BC. The comfortable hut sleeps 12 skiers, 2 guides, a chef and a custodian, and is equipped with a wood-fired sauna for relaxing at the end of the day.

2 IFMGA certified guides ensure that you’ll find the best skiing possible, and be able to split into smaller groups to tackle objectives based on ability level and fitness.

Feb 14- 21: Fly into Vista Lodge, and after refreshing our avalanche rescue skills, enjoy a week of ski touring. A typical day begins by being woken up by the smell of cooking bacon and fresh coffee, followed by 4,000-5,000 ft. of ski descents. Come back to the hut for apres and a sauna, a hearty dinner and relax in front of the wood fire before waking up and getting to explore more of the expansive tenure.

Feb 21: We pack up and fly out by mid-day, with our private van ready to take us back to YYC for a late evening flight home. Note that bad weather may delay our fly out, and that booking a flight home no earlier than 9pm is recommended.
