Sunrise Lodge Ski Week
Located in the Esplanades, a subrange of the iconic Selkirk Mountains, Sunrise Lodge is perched at treeline and has access to fantastic alpine bowls as well as gladed tree runs and low angle slopes making it a great choice for all conditions. With views to the Rockies and Purcells, this is one of the closest ski touring lodges to Rogers Pass but has none of the crowds.
This week is all about getting off the grid and enjoying the mountains with new friends. This fully-catered, helicopter-accessed hut gives us a full week of backcountry bliss, complete with a sauna and shower and private double rooms. This trip has room for only 12 guests, 2 guides, a chef and a hut custodian, ensuring that you each day you will ski in small groups and get to ski the best snow and terrain possible.

Itinerary:
Feb 25: Arrive to Calgary Int’l Airport (YYC) no later than 5pm MST. Guides will meet the group and will be transported to Golden, BC via private van charter (3 hour drive). If you would like to arrive early and ski at Kicking Horse or Revelstoke you will need to rent a car. Guests are responsible for booking their accommodation in Golden on this night, Kicking Horse River Lodge is recommended https://www.khrl.com/.
Feb 26- March 5: Fly into Sunrise Hut, and after refreshing our avalanche rescue skills, enjoy a week of ski touring. A typical day begins by being woken up by the smell of cooking bacon and locally roasted coffee, followed by 4,000-5,000 ft. of ski descents. Come back to the hut for apres and a sauna, a hearty dinner and relax in front of the wood fire before waking up and getting to explore more of the expansive tenure.
March 5: We pack up and fly out by mid-day, with our private van ready to take us back to YYC for a late evening flight home. Note that bad weather may delay our fly out, and that booking a flight home no earlier than 9pm is recommended.
